Reviews of InFocus M810

The Good
+ Very Good specs for the Price you pay. At 15K, you get a lot of value for your money with a phone running Android Lolipop. The build quality is also very good.
+ 1080p Full HD 5.5 inch display. Very good viewing angles and colours. Touch screen is responsive.
+ 2 GB RAM and Snapdragon Quad-core 801. So, it performs well and has enough memory.
+ Good looker. This is one hell of a good looking phone, no doubt about that; bound to get people asking what’s that? The Gold I am not so fond of, but if you wanted an iPhone Gold, then this is your kind of phone.
+ 16 GB storage. Additional Micro SD card for 64 GB of storage.
+ 4G LTE and Dual Band Wi-FI. Wi-Fi supports both 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz. 13 MP rear camera with dual LED flash and front camera with wide angle lens. Focus and camera quality is good; though there is a little shutter lag. Camera different modes for blink detection, beauty mode, panaroma etc. I wasn’t able to test the camera too much though.
+ Performance wise it’s pretty close to phones like Samsung S5 in benchmarks.
+ NFC support, so you can easily pair with NFC boom boxes, headsets etc. or for payments when they start here.
+ Notification LED (but see below), OTG support for USB drives. Media playback/call quality sound is average and not loud enough compared to others (it has a single speaker).
+ Dual Microphones with noise cancellation so your calls would be clear.
+ Battery should last around a day; not tested though.

The Bad
– Heats up when gaming too hard. Was expected from the Snapdragon processor on board and the glass back.
– Notification LED. Not sure why you would put it at the bottom instead of top.
– Back is glossy and made of glass. That leaves it prone for finger prints and breakage. No, I did not do a drop test 🙂
– There is some bloatware installed and the UI is skinned.
– 4G LTE only supports 1800 Mhz. This means you will not be able to use with Airtel and Aircel both of which use 2300 Mhz. That said, Reliance is expected to start it’s 4G on both 2300 and 1800 Mhz bands. But, keep that in mind if you are buying this phone for 4G.
– Warranty and Support. This is what always worries me when anyone buys or asks me about any of these new phone bands; just think about how long it will take for a small accident like broken screen, what would that cost, how long will it take to repair? Phones from even Motorola had severe support issues when they were launched. So, frankly, I have no idea how the support or the warranty of this will be but keep that in mind if you are buying this phone over a larger brand.
