The Coolpad Cool 1 Dual is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 32GB of internal storage cannot be expanded. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Coolpad Cool 1 Dual packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
What is Root?
Rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones, tablets and other devices running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged control (known as root access) over various Android subsystems. As Android uses the Linux kernel, rooting an Android device gives similar access to administrative (superuser) permissions as on Linux or any other Unix-like operating system such as FreeBSD or OS X.
Why would you root?

Follow the Steps to Root LeEco Coolpad Cool 1 Dual. Before Rooting have a complete backup of you’re device

- .Net above 4.0 should be Installed on the system.

Step 1 : Make sure .Net Above 4.0 is Installed. .NET is a programming framework created by Microsoft that developers can use to create applications more easily.
To Install .Net Framework Above 4.0 Navigate to Control Panel –> Programs –> Turn Windows Features On or Off.
Check .NET Framework and hit ok. Wait till the .Net Framework Installs. If you can’t see .NET Framework Above 4.0 Click here to Download .Net 4.0. After the .Net Installation. Install the Tools Which is was Downloaded Before [sociallocker]downloaded before.[/sociallocker].
Step 2 : Extract the Downloaded files on the Desktop. There would be 2 Folders
Navigate to the Setup Folder right click on setup.exe Application and select Run as Administrator.
The Installation of the required tools takes place click on next for all the following pop up windows. After the Installation of the Vcredist. QPST Tool will be installed. Click finish to complete the process of installing all the tools.
Now we are done with Installing Application. The next step would be installing the Qualcomm driver.
Step 3 : To install Install the Qualcomm Driver navigate to the Drivers Folder. Qualcomm_USB_Driver_188.8.131.52_Setup. Right click on the exe file and Run as Administrator.
Click ok and next for the following windows and Install the driver.
Click on the Finish Button to Complete the Installation. Now make sure the Driver is Installed properly.
To check if the Driver is Successfully Installed. Check on the Device Manager. Hit windows+r and type devmgmt.msc to get the Device Manager and check if the Driver is installed successfully. The Driver must be installed in order to Root you’re phone.
Step 4:Important: Disable the Driver Signature Enforcement and Enable Test Mode
Open Command Prompt as Administrator and type the following.
Bcdedit.exe –set TESTSIGNING OFF
This allows non Signature and third party Drivers to Install on the Windows. Remember to Re-Enable Driver Signature Enforcement after the rooting process. Type the following to Re-Enable
Bcdedit.exe –set TESTSIGNING ON
Step 5 :Now we have installed all the necessary tools required to Root the Phone. Navigate to C: windows –> Program files (x86) –> Qualcomm–> QPST –>bin–>QFIL.exe.
Get the Developer Options and enable OEM Bootloader unlocking and Enable USB debugging on the Phone.
- Turn of you’re Phone.
- Plug you’re phone to the PC. Using USB cable.
- Hold Volume up , Volume Down and Power Button At same time.
- Hold this three buttons untill the Red notification light blinks atleast 3 times.
Release the Three buttons.Wait till the QFIL program Detects the Qualcomm COM Port.
Step 5 : Select Flat Build as the Build Type. Change the Build Type
Step 6: Click on Browse and Select Programmer Path to the Recovery Folder –> prog_emmc_firehose.mbn
Step 7: Click on Load XML and select RawProgram Path as rawprogram0.xml file located in Recovey Folder.
Step 8: Select Patch Path as patch0.xml. Both the files are located in Recovery Folder.
Step 9. Click on the Download Button and wait for the Success Message. Download button works only if the Qualcomm driver is detected by the Applciation.
Wait till you get the Message “Download Succeed. Finish Download” If you don’t success Message. Either Driver was not installed and configured properly or Driver Signature Enforcement is not turned off Follow Step Disable it.
Now we have successfully Flashed the TWRP Recovery. Unplug the phone from PC.
Hold Volume up + and the Power Button till the Phone Boots into Recovery Mode.
When the phone boots into Recovery Mode. Be careful.
Important First Click on the Language and select English as language. The default language is chinese. and click ok to change the language and cancel to Return back to home.
You will see the Screen Keep System Read only Ignore the message and swipe Right to get Home.
Once you’re on Home. Select Advanced –> Tools –> Root Device.
Swipe right to Confirm to root the device and Install SuperSu.
After swiping to right it takes 2 minutes to install SuperSu. Don’t wipe the cache or Data.You might lost data. cannot unmount partition error would come. Ignore the Error Hit cancel and Click on reboot –> system. Once the device reboots you will find SuperSu installed on the device. and Root is Done.
Download rootchecker App from play store to check the process is successful. RootChecker will check if you’re device has been rooted successfully. Allow Permission for Rootchecker App to Grant Su Permission. and Click Verify Root on Root Checker.
